I was fortunate enough to have participated in the Student's Conference on U.S. Affairs in November of 2019 at the United States Military Academy ("USMA"). I served on the "Weaponization of Information" panel while there, learning about the ways in which mis- and dis-information are spread (and, subsequently, how that inclemently affects our democracy). I seek to discuss the important lessons I'd learned on how to slow and/or prevent the spread of mis- and dis-information, as well as my overall experience at USMA and how it was a particularly unique one.
