Using the theory of intersectionality, this presentation explores the disparities in access to prenatal care or government assisted programs and experiences in using these programs among Black mothers and Black immigrant mothers. Over a period of three months, interviews were conducted . The following interviews highlighted each mothers experience with the government programs, whether or not they received adequate funding, the difficulties of the application procedure, and what could have been done to better this process. This project provides close insight into healthcare experiences of Black low income immigrant mothers.
