This written assignment describes a specific place that has had a significant impact on my life-Florence, Italy. It allows me to reflect on my study abroad experience in Italy while improving my writing abilities in Spanish, in order to express my passion for languages and cultures. Using all five senses, I describe both Florence more generally, as well as the Piazza del Duomo-the site of one of the world's most famous cathedrals that sits in the center of both the city and my experience abroad.
