The goal of a virtual reality system is to create a realistic virtual environment users can interact with. A key component to successful user's interactions are control schemes that eliminate any discomfort the user may experience such as disorientation or nausea. This discomfort is typically due to the delay within the virtual world and real world. With the usage of devices such as joysticks, force balls, tracking balls, controller wands, treadmills, etc we can decrease the level of disturbance for users. In an attempt to solve this problem I focused on developing new control schemes for the computer science department's turtle bot by allowing users to move and teleport in the virtual world.
