Phasor Lab

Students will discuss a variety of projects involving electrical engineering and music.  Topics include experiments on musical acoustics, music synthesis, binaural audio recordings, signal processing and acoustical diagnostics (application areas from engines to sports), sound in historical structures and others.  The "Music with ARC Program"  - student-organized music therapy for adults with cognitive disorders (such as autism, aspergers or down syndrome) will discuss their activities.  Musical performances will take place, featuring students who have performed technical projects in the lab and guests.  A special appearance by the Heavenly Voices Gospel Choir led by musical director Lynny Walters, Adjunct Professor of Music, is planned.
