South Africa: Witkoppen Clinic

Christie was a Minerva Fellow at Witkoppen Clinic in Johannesburg, South Africa. She worked in the postnatal clinic and also as a liaison for The Gift of Hope, a US nonprofit organization that supports HIV positive mothers and children at Witkoppen to ensure they receive quality holistic care. Christie will be sharing her insights into the communities she worked with as well as the country as a whole in regards to culture, race, gender, socioeconomics, and health.
