The Power Gauntlet is a device that converts body heat into electricity. The team developed a prototype during a Hackathon, then received funding through a Presidential Green Grant to improve that prototype. It currently uses a Seebeck Generator connected to a supercapacitor to generate a very low voltage. That voltage is increased using a power boost circuit. Experiments were done to test different types of materials, regarding heat transfer and insulation. The team is also testing use cases, like heart rate monitors, and winter outdoor gear.
