Dreams are the thoughts and feelings that occur while one is asleep. However, unlike waking cognition, dream states are ambiguous. One might ask the question: what factors affect dreaming? How are we, as individuals, reflected in our dreams? This study allows us to delve deeper into these questions; in particular, we are investigating the correlation between personality traits and dream factors, such as emotionality and recall frequency. The results of carefully planned questionnaires, consisting of prior research and new material, will show insight into the connection between different personality scale ratings (OCEAN) and general dream factors (MADRE + original). From there, conclusions will be drawn on whether replicated prior research was supported, and whether the original questionnaire portion allowed for more accurate and inclusive results.
