Home electrical fires account for an estimated 50000 fires every year, causing 500 deaths and $1.3 billion in property damage in the United States. When the fire inspector determines the fire is caused by an electrical fault, no data shows if the fault is caused by a circuit breaker malfunction. It is important to find out how many circuit breakers are defective. The goal of this project is to design a computer-controlled automated system that can analyze the trip performance of a large number of circuit breakers.
