For my Klemm Fellowship, I traveled to Cochabamba, Bolivia where I worked for three weeks at an organization called Sayari Warmi. The organization was founded in August 2009 in response to the increasing number of local girls that were victims of child trafficking and prostitution and works with girls and young teens that have been rescued from brothels in impoverished areas of Cochabamba in order to offer them the possibility of being reincorporated into general society. My role at the organization was to teach English, teach about human rights and women’s rights, assist in skill development classes, and go out into the community to educate on trafficking prevention.
