Our project studies the formation of shock surfaces when a stellar wind is driven by an orbiting star. According to the analytic model of Wilkin and Hausner 2017, this surface intersects with itself, leading to a truncation. This truncation takes the form of a one-dimensional locus of points which is essentially a seam. As part of our project, we have developed a numerical scheme to trace the location of this intersection, which represents the limit of applicability of the analytic wind model.
