Poor air quality, which is often visible as a haze that obscures distant objects, has been shown to negatively impact human heath. The US Environmental Agency regulates several air pollutants, including particulate matter (PM), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and ozone (O3). We describe UAir (the Union College Air Quality Network), a set of five air quality sensing modules installed across campus in indoor and outdoor locations that detect these pollutants. A Graphical User Interface has been developed to display the sensor data and allow users to explore data for research, educational, and outreach purposes. Patterns and influences on air quality at indoor and outdoor sensor locations will be discussed.
