After considering my change from engineering to music, I will discuss finding classical composition as my vocation in my junior year through the choir's performance opportunities. The main focus will be on the literature I have read and examples of the self-study I have undertaken as it relates to the pieces of music I have written, which include my thesis composition Two Latin Motets (2024), When David Heard (2024), and Cycles (2023). Through this, I will articulate my main artistic direction and the development of my musical thoughts throughout my time at Union College.
