Many puzzles and games can be better understood via linear algebraic tools. In this talk, I'll briefly introduce two examples, Magic Squares, and the game Lights Out. I'll show how some interesting properties of Magic Squares could be understood via linear algebra, and how linear algebra can help us to find a systematic way to win Lights Out.
