Tourism in Mongolia: Business Development Internship

I worked at the oldest tourism agency in Mongolia, Juulchin Tours, based in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar. The goal of my internship was to expand the market for Americans to travel to Mongolia, as it it not a frequent vacation spot for US based people. I was able to experience Mongolian business culture and practices during my three weeks at Juulchin and get to know my coworkers. I lived with a host family who cooked traditional Mongolian meals and helped me immerse myself into local life. I was also able to go on some weekend adventures including national parks, volunteering at a soup kitchen, and the Trans-Siberian Railway.
