In order to obtain the rotational period of asteroid (2092) Sumiana we constructed a lightcurve using dense and sparse data from several telescopes. We plotted changes in the asteroid’s brightness (relative magnitude) over several observations, and combined (folded) the results using potential period values until a close estimate for the rotational period was achieved.
