Queer people interact with classical stories and mythology in a multitude of ways. I've been looking into why queer people are interested in these topics to begin with, and some of the ways they interact with these topics, such as art and queer retellings of stories. This is a relatively new topic in the field of classics, and I find it to be important as a discipline to look into who the discipline appeals to and how. As a queer artist myself, I have also made art expressing my own queerness using figures from Greek mythology and classical themes.
