Echoes: A Study in Projection Mapping

Projection mapping. Something we see everywhere and yet is barely discussed because it is easy to overlook. In my Visual Art Thesis I explored the possibilities of projection mapping onto the windows of different buildings around campus. "Echoes", the title of the resulting artwork, allowed me to not only explore the world of stop-motion animation but also begin to scratch the surface into the discipline of projection mapping. Exhibition of this project were executed in two locations; the first in the windows of the Digital Arts Studio in fall of 2017 and the second in the windows of the Henle Dance Pavilion in winter of 2018. In a small way, I believe that the results of my project has helped progress Union College's knowledge base into the field of projection mapping.
